On September 18, 2024, HeriTACE participated in the Flemish Heat Pump Platform Symposium.
The topic of the Symposium was “Sustainable Heat for Cities”, with a focus on the beautiful, renovated building of Buildwise (engineered by boydens engineering, now Sweco) in Brussels, where multiple HeriTACE partners were part of the organization and on stage.
- Wim boydens (Ghent University | EnerGhentIC university and co-chair of the Flemish Heat Pump Platform) had a big part in the organization of the symposium and moderated the morning session and echo from the parallel sessions,
- Glenn Reynders (KU Leuven) was part of the organization committee and presented the HeriTACE project,
- Indra Van Sande (Stad Gent - City of Ghent) elucidated the good work and insights from the City of Ghent about the HeriTACE project and attended the debate together with representatives from Leuven and Antwerp
- Lieve Helsen (KU Leuven) attended the Cities debate and moderated the session on system integration in a city context.
The Cities of Leuven, Ghent, and Antwerp, manufacturers, practitioners, associations, administration, and researchers presented their plans, actions, and dreams … feeling the positive dynamics and willingness to act in the field boosted the whole audience … a warm call to the policymakers to act as facilitators!
